Memory Weaving
I see weaving not only as a meditative process, but also as a reflection of life, because our lives are full of different experiences and people that are woven in an out of our life, just like a woven work of Art.
In the past, I have done “Memorial” weavings made from clothing and various fibers that are incorporated into the weaving as a way of honoring those people still in our lives, or those who have passed on. I love this process!
The fibers in our life “carry” our memories
Even if you have favorite pieces of clothing that you refuse to let go of (We’ve all been there!), this is a great way to still hold on! And what a great way to recycle and practice sustainability!
